Paddle boarding in New Caledonia
New Caledonia’s lagoon has long been considered the ideal playground for all adventure water sports amateurs. It has recently become a paddle boarder’s paradise as well. Stand-up Paddle boarding (also known as SUP) is popular all over the island and is often practiced as a family activity.
SUP at your leisure
SUP allows you to get moving while enjoying the lagoon’s underwater treasures in a completely non-invasive, eco-friendly manner…without ever getting wet (theoretically!). Standing on your board, between sea and sky, you will overlook the azure waters and its abundant marine life. Enjoy paddling on the world’s largest lagoon, a Unesco World Heritage site, and marvel at its eye-enticing biodiversity. You will feel like you are gliding across a live postcard!
SUP basics are rather easy to understand and learn, which means you can get going and exploring within minutes. Once you have overcome the balance issue and mastered the paddling technique, hours of dazzling exploration await you throughout New Caledonia’s natural wonders. From rivers to mangroves and the lagoon, SUP allows you to enjoy vary different environments.
